Nocturnal Adventure Family Nights

Spend the night at the wildest place in town!

Join the Zoo's overnight program, Nocturnal Adventures, for special events designed for parents and children, age 5 and up. During the evening, you will tour buildings, experience live animal encounters and engage in other exciting activities. Awake to peacock and gibbon calls, have breakfast, and then tour the Zoo with your guide until 9am. Choose from Animal Adaptations or Sleep with the Manatees.

Where do Family Nights take place?

  • Camp Out participants will sleep outside near the Education Center.
  • Sleep with the Manatees participants sleep in the Manatees Springs building.
  • Most other family overnights sleep in the Harold C. Schott Education Center.

FAMILY "HOWL"- OWEEN During this family overnight, adults and children 5 years old and up will explore the world of wolves and other “top dogs” at the Zoo! While prowling around in the night, families will learn what makes these predatory animals so special. Don’t forget your Halloween costume! HallZooween takes place the next day from noon-5 pm and your little ghouls can trick-or-treat their way around the Zoo at no extra charge! Register Online Oct. 10, 17 or 24: 6 pm 9 am
WILD WINTER NIGHTS Have a wild time during these long winter nights and sleep over at the Zoo! Have you ever wondered where animals spend the winter months? Or where animals get their food when the ground is covered with snow? Your family will explore the physical and behavioral characteristics of animal in the winter as you discover the meaning of adaptation. Play games, tour buildings meet some of our animal ambassadors, and even go behind the scenes. We hope you'll den up at the Zoo for a Wild Winter Night!
