On Tuesday, September 15, Tri-State educators are invited to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for the 2009 Ultimate Educator Expo. The event will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Cincinnati Zoo’s Harold C. Schott Education Center.
The EXPO, presented by Fidelity Investments hosted by Greater Cincinnati Environmental Educators (GCEE) and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, is FREE for teachers of all grades and subjects. Generous support is also provided by Geico Insurance, Frisch's Restaurants, Inc., Pepsi, Environmental Education Council of Ohio (EECO) and GreenBird.
The Expo features 20-minute break-out sessions in which teachers will gain practical information on “going green” at school and home. Over thirty environmental organizations will be there to share their educational programs available to teachers and students.
Refreshments and door prizes will also be available and special animals appearances throughout the afternoon.
Teachers may Register Online to be part of this Expo. All teachers will be asked to park in the NEW! Vine Street Village Parking Lot and enter the Zoo using the NEW! entrance on Vine Street. Day of registration will be available at the new entrance on Vine Street. The event will be held in the Harold C. Schott Education Center.
GCEE is an umbrella organization composed of environmental education organization and parks. GCEE works to promote environmental educational resources available to classroom teachers throughout Greater Cincinnati, facilitate interaction and collaboration among environmental education professionals and provide outreach and training to local classroom teachers.
